Welcome to Claire’s Blog

Claire Chen is currently a junior student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Journalism and Communication Arts.

Born in China, she experienced two distinct types of education systems as well as two different cultural environments. Before studying in the U.S., Claire spent her time with her family in her hometown Changsha, a south-central city famous for its K-12 public education and traditional media industry.

Despite the difficulties of living in a foreign country, Claire strives to enrich her campus life in UW-Madison. She joined many student organizations such as the Chinese Student Scholars Association and Dancas Dance Crew. She serves as an active member and is still contributing to these organizations.

During her two-year campus experience, Claire gradually becomes interested in strategic communication and is willing to explore more about advertising and the public relations industry.
